Since I upgraded to this version I have been seeing automatic conversion from simplied characters to traditional. However, some simplified characters which are themselves another traditional characters got converted incorrectly in programs like itunes and firefox. e.g. 后(queen) became 後(back) , 松 (pine) became 鬆 (loose) This is very annoying when reading.

How can I turn this whole conversion thing off? or unless njstar can fix it by using some kind of phrase recognition.

Those characters involves one to many mapping. It's hard to get 100% correct.

You can turn it off by setting the viewer on 'Chinese GB18010' or 'Chinese Big5-HKSCS'.
